First 10 weeks.
Last Apocalypse » Devlog
Below is a brief summary of the development journey of Last Apocalypse.
- Week 01 = Group formation, mood boards, empathy maps etc. Generation and selection of the best ideas;
- Week 02 = Game canvas elaboration and concept matrix used for the final decision;
- Weeks 03-04 = Prototyping, class diagram, technical aspects, asset research. Focus on PSX environments and timed-hits mechanics;
- Week 05 = Delivery and testing of the prototype. Application of feedback;
- Week 06-07 = Development of the one-page design, complete list of required assets, and a lean canvas. Starting here, we've encountered several communication and participation issues in the project, which have practically stalled the development of Last Apocalypse;
- Week 08 = Delivery of the poorly executed alpha version with various issues, including interface problems. Testing and application of feedback;
- Week 09-10 = Complete restructuring. Abandonment of previous mechanics and proposals (such as timed-hits). Accelerated development to deliver a minimum viable beta version.
Now, for the upcoming weeks, we're slowly working to assemble a game quite different from our initial proposal for our Beta version presentation. You can expect new builds to be posted on the game page soon. The current download version is from our prototype. See you soon.
